The Quarantine Act 2020 (Act No.2 of 2020) (the “Act”), which was passed in the Mauritius Assembly on 15 May 2020 and gazetted in the Government Gazette of Mauritius No.57 of 16 May 2020:
1. lays the foundations for the lifting of lockdown in Mauritius;
2. caters for more appropriate measures for the prevention and spread of communicable diseases; and
3. repeals and replaces the Quarantine Act 1954.
