  • advising AID Partners Capital on its acquisition of HMV in Hong Kong, Singapore and Greater China
  • advising BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation on the structuring and negotiations related to its joint venture, BCIC Senior Loan Partners, LL, with Windward Investments LLC
  • advising Chemtura Corporation on the $1 billion sale of its agrochemicals business to Platform Specialty Products Corporation and its subsequent €2.4bn takeover by Lanxess
  • advising Cisco on the $5bn acquisition of NDS
  • advising Credit Europe Group NV on the disposal of Credit Europe Asigurari Reasigurari to ERGO Austria International, part of the German group Munich Re
  • advising DuPont on the European aspects of the $4.9bn disposal of its performance coatings business across 18 jurisdictions
  • advising First Data Corporation on the formation of Bank of America Merchant Services, a joint venture with Bank of America NA that involved more than $7 billion in acquisition transactions
  • advising Forest Investment Associates LP and Rayonier Inc on their joint purchase of Menasha Forest Products Corporation, a private real estate investment trust owned by investment funds managed by Campbell Global LLC, for approximately $560 million
  • advising G4S on its global non-core disposal program involving transactions in more than 30 countries around the world
  • advising the financial services holding company Great-West Lifeco on its acquisition of Putnam Investments from Marsh & McLennan for approximately $3.9 billion
  • advising the private equity house Inflexion on its acquisition of the travel agency Reed & Mackay from ECI Partners LLP and Livingbridge LLP
  • advising Iron Mountain on the buyout of its joint venture partners’ interests in Russia, the Ukraine, Denmark, Poland and Cyprus
  • advising Legal & General on the disposal of its French business Legal & General Holdings (France) SA to APICIL Prévoyance
  • serving as lead transaction counsel to Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) in its acquisition of MetLife’s US retail advisor force, the MetLife Premier Client Group (MPCG)
  • advising National Grid, on the £13.8bn sale of a large proportion of its UK gas distribution business (NGGD) to a consortium of infrastructure investors. The team also led on the resulting business separation
  • advising Siemens AG on its joint venture with Wood Group with combined assets of US$1 billion
  • advising Swicorp on its acquisitions in Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco
