Career opportunities with an international law firm 

There are many law firms in the world, but very few like ours. Eversheds Sutherland Brussels consists of 17 lawyers, including 6 partners. It has consistently been at the forefront of changes in the legal profession and is widely regarded as one of the most progressive, forward thinking practices around. Our goal is to provide our clients with access to this domestic European and international legal expertise. We work closely with colleagues from other Eversheds Sutherland offices and with external advisors and organizations from all industry sectors to understand our clients' current needs and identify future potential. From that understanding we offer pragmatic, straightforward, and innovative advice. Applicants for an internship at Eversheds Sutherland Brussels should be in an advanced stage of their legal studies and should have very good language skills.

Current vacancies:

To strengthen the real estate and regulatory department of our Brussels office we are looking for a lawyer with 1 to 2 year(s) of experience in real estate law and a lawyer with 2 to 3 years of regulatory experience, both with a strong academic background.

Qualifications

Real estate lawyer:

  • 1 to 2 year(s) of experience in real estate law, ideally with both transactional and private (real estate) law litigation experience
  • Strong interest in construction and development, corporate real estate, institutional investment and commercial real estate in general
  • Strong academic background
  • Ideally bilingual (Dutch-French) with a very good knowledge of English or at least Dutch speaking with a very good knowledge of French and English
  • High standards of performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound business acumen, solution focused and deal oriented
  • Ability to work well both in a team and individually

Regulatory lawyer:

  • 2 to 3 years of regulatory experience, ideally with both advisory and public law litigation experience
  • Strong interest in energy and infrastructure, environment and planning, public procurement, state aid and public law in general
  • Strong academic background
  • Dutch speaking with very good knowledge of French and English
  • High standards of performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound business acumen and solution focused
  • Ability to work well both in a team and individually
