Julian Brown has many years of experience advising asset management firms on the structuring of funds and all aspects of their regulation, governance and distribution.
Julian is a Partner in our Financial Services group in London. He undertakes a broad range of financial services work, including the formation and regulation of collective investment schemes, regulatory work for fund management clients, and related Company Commercial work.
This includes UCITS, non UCITS retail schemes (NURS), property authorised investment funds (PAIFs), charity authorised investment funds (CAIFs), funds of alternative investment funds (FAIFs), and qualified investment schemes (QIS) in unit trust, open-ended coroporate form (OEIC/ICVC) and ACS/TTF form.
Julian's recent experience includes:
- unit trust and open-ended investment company launches and complex reorganizations
- detailed regulatory advice, financial promotion and custody issues
- offshore closed-ended fund projects
- establishment of investment fund supermarkets and other related "multi-manager" external fund link arrangements
