Shaziah joined the firm in September 2017 and is a qualified solicitor in the Financial Services, Disputes and Investigations Group.
She handles a broad range of complex financial and commercial disputes, contractual claims, professional negligence actions, as well as investigations work. Her experience extends to subrogated recovery claims on behalf of high-profile insurers.
In addition to this, Shaziah has acted for major investment banks on regulatory investigations, and has worked on behalf of a high-profile client in relation to proceedings for breach of the general prohibition under FSMA 2000. She has also been key in advising a well-regarded MTSP in multitrack disputes with an emphasis on dispute avoidance.
Shaziah has had extensive experience working in fraud litigation and volunteers at a pro bono clinic giving free legal advice to people who have limited access to justice. She previously advised local charities and been involved in a variety of fundraising projects. Shaziah is fluent in four languages.
Shaziah read law at King's College, London obtaining a 2:1. She was awarded a Masters in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science where she specialized in Taxation Law and completed her LPC at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
