Péter joined the firm as Partner on January 1, 2005. Prior to joining the firm, he was one of the senior partners of Komáromi és Erős Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, Budapest.
Previously, Péter acted as first secretary of the Hungarian Embassy’s Commercial Counselor’s Office in New York City. Before that he spent 10 years with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce as the head of its Secretarial and Legal Division, and executive president of its Court of Arbitration. Previously, he worked as in-house lawyer at KONSUMEX Hungarian Foreign Trade Co. and honorary professor of the Budapest Collegeof Foreign Trade.
He is on the panel of the Court of Arbitration attached to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Péter is member of the Supervisory Board of KDB Bank (Korean Development Bank) Hungary and is an honorary professor of the Budapest Business School.
Main practice areas are international commercial law, corporate law, media law, energy law, telecom, project finance and international arbitration.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Janus Pannonius University of Sciences Pécs in 1968.
