Pawel Lasota is an attorney-at-law in the labour law team, specialised in individual and collective labour law.

He supports HR departments in all day-to-day employment matters and advises on strategic issues related to acquisitions, mergers and restructuring of enterprises. He has advised on numerous M&A transactions (including VC and PE), where he conducted due diligence processes in terms of employment law and prepared transaction documentation.

Paweł advises both local companies and international corporations. He has particular experience in advising companies from the IT, industrial, automotive and shared services sectors. In particular, he specialises in advising on the implementation of new forms of employment in organisations. His expertise also covers the preparation of internal employee regulations, including work regulations, remuneration regulations, company policies and regulations for company social benefit funds, as well as pension schemes and plans.

Paweł has experience in establishing and terminating employment contracts and non-competition agreements.

He advises on collective redundancies and issues related to the employment of foreigners. He represents clients in court disputes in labour law matters.

  • Advising an international automotive company on employment and compliance matters related to a cross-border merger and maintenance of the status of a separate employer in several locations of the Polish branch for purposes of tax and social security obligations. 
  • Advising a leading car rental company on matters related to election of employee representatives and works council. 
  • Preparing a comprehensive set of employment-related template documents (employment contracts, relocation agreements, etc.) for use by the Polish subsidiary of an international electronics company. 
  • Advising on closing of a shared-services centre in Gdynia and the process of collective redundancies affecting over 200 employees, including advice on the collective redundancies process and voluntary resignation programme held within the collective redundancies process. 
  • Advising one of the biggest foreign airlines on ongoing legal assistance on various employment issues, including drafting of employment contracts, working time, holiday, disciplinary proceedings, termination of employment, and immigration issues. 
  • Advising on spin-off and transfer of part of its business into a newly created entity. 
  • Advising automotive company on international spin-off project concerning multiple Polish entities and transfer of a group of employees.
  • Completed the program of the American Law Center offered by the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw in conjunction with the University of Florida and School of Law of Eastern Europe and Central Asia offered by the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
