Corrine is a Principal Associate in our Human Resources Practice Group. Corrine advises on employment law and business immigration. Corrine joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2009 and trained as a solicitor with the firm, qualifying in 2011.
Corrine helps businesses to protect their workforce and reputation by facilitating global mobility and taking measures to prevent illegal working in the UK. Corrine works closely with global organisations to understand their mobility needs.
Corrine has significant experience of helping businesses navigate the employment and immigration complexities where there are concerns regarding an existing employee's right to work in the UK. This is skill set which supports her clients through challenging employee relations issues whilst balancing legal risks to the business.
A large part of Corrine's role is working with clients to secure sponsor licences to employ migrant workers in the UK. She provides end to end support from applying for the sponsor licence, to making visa applications and managing ongoing sponsor obligations. Corrine has also worked with businesses who have experienced significant corporate structure changes to make the relevant reports to the Home Office and ensure they can continue to sponsor their migrant workers.
Supporting global clients, Corrine has significant international experience and works with our global network to provide multi-jurisdictional employment and immigration advice. Recently, key areas of focus for Corrine have been European business travel post-Brexit and remote working arrangements.
Corrine understands the UK skills shortages faced by our clients and the need for an internationally mobile workforce.
Corrine frequently provides training to businesses on all aspects of immigration and employment law to minimise risk.
Corrine's recent experience includes:
- managing the day-to-day operation of a 74 jurisdiction immigration helpline
- leading a team that provides ongoing advice on immigration-related COVID restrictions in 38 jurisdictions
- delivering Brexit-related international immigration advice regarding working rights for UK nationals in the EEA/Switzerland post-Brexit
- performing mock immigration audits for businesses to ensure compliance with Home Office requirements
- applying for sponsor licenses to facilitate global mobility
- supporting with visa applications for key members of staff in organizations
Corrine regularly writes articles, records podcasts and videos for publication on Eversheds Sutherland's social media.
Corrine is a member of Eversheds Sutherland's Gender network. She is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA).
Corrine has a first class degree in Law (2005-2009).
