Claire is a Principal Associate who helps clients find solutions to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. 

Claire is a member of the Employment, Labor and Pensions Group in our London office and focusses on Employment law. Claire undertakes a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment work and has completed several secondments with a large multinational company.

Whether you are in the public or private sector, in the financial services, media, healthcare or life sciences sector, Claire can advise you on your employment law issues. This includes advising on employee relations issues, investigations, dismissals, redundancy exercises, family friendly rights, the employment aspects of corporate transactions and outsourcing arrangements, disciplinary and grievance issues and restrictive covenants.

A significant part of Claire's role is also helping businesses like yours prepare and negotiate employment contracts and service agreements as well as drafting and implementing employee policies, procedures and staff handbooks and implementing changes to terms and conditions. 

Whether you are a UK or overseas client, Claire can assist with UK employment advice as well as project managing and coordinating advice across a range of jurisdictions.

Claire also has many years of experience in advising on and handling the resolution of Tribunal claims including claims for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, whistleblowing, breach of contract, sex, disability and race discrimination. Her contentious/non-contentious workload is approximately 20:80.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys hiking, running and travel.

Claire's recent experience includes: 

  • advising a multinational data and technology company on restructurings and redundancies
  • preparing new employee handbooks and updating employment contracts for a multinational cosmetics and skincare company
  • advising a multinational manufacturing client on the exit of its head of human resources and finance director
  • advising a leading real estate company in the UK on restrictive covenant issues
  • advising a client on an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against a director, including the subsequent disciplinary procedure and dismissal   
  • advising a global charitable foundation on a range of employment law matters, including various TUPE transfers
  • advising various real estate companies on the employment aspects of lease surrenders and other transactions
  • representing clients in employment tribunal proceedings for disability discrimination, unfair dismissal, breach of contract and constructive unfair dismissal

Claire presents regularly on a range of employment law issues, both for clients and on public courses.
