Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith is a Legal Director in the employment team and helps clients with the employment aspects of complex corporate resturctures, TUPE, outsourcing and strategic pensions change projects. 

Amanda is an employment lawyer advising companies like yours on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious human resources with particular experience in complex corporate restructures, business transformation including TUPE and outsourcing projects, and the employment aspects of strategic pensions change. In addition, Amanda advises companies like yours with their senior executive appointments and terminations and strategies to manage Tribunal claims. 

Amanda’s experience includes:

  • advising on the complex TUPE issues for the separation of a large UK plc
  • advising on the TUPE issues arising on the disposal of 73 properties in a plc’s portfolio
  • closing the Defined Benefit pension scheme to future accrual for a large plc affecting 850 unionized members across over 25 sites where the benefit was contractual
  • advising on the TUPE issues arising for a large UK plc in relation to services agreements with suppliers when insourcing and outsourcing
  • Presents courses to both HR professionals and corporate/commercial teams on TUPE and business change
  • Qualified in 2000
