Katalin is a Partner and head of HR Team of the Budapest Office of Eversheds Sutherland.  Katalin is a legal advisor with more than 20 years of experience. She also specializes in data protection and commercial law.

Partner of the firm since May 2002.

From March 1997, she worked first as legal assistant and after being admitted as legal adviser at the legal department of Siemens Rt.

She has extensive experience advising clients in employment and labour law issues and drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. She is often involved in M&A transactions, including clearing mergers with the competition authority.

Main practice areas: employment and labour law, commercial law, data protection, M&A, competition law, construction law.

Her activities include advising clients in a wide range of employment and labour law matters, form day-to day advise to complex ARD proceedings, negotiations with employee representative bodies and litigation issues. She assists clients in drafting template documents needed in the employment relationships, complicated termination procedures, review and drafting of internal policies. She also advises in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts,  build-to-suit lease agreements. Katalin also represents Clients before the labour and administrative Courts with special focus on employment law disputes.

Katalin‘s recent experience includes advising and representing:

  • a Client in drafting agreement on ARD covering employers in several countries.
  • a Client in a collective redundancy procedure affecting more than 400 employees.
  • a Client in a regulatory procedure at the Hungarian Data Protection Authority.
  • a Client in a complicated termination issue with regard to an employee where important written documents were missing.
  • a Client against a former employee in a litigation regarding non-competition agreement.
  • Clients with regard to drafting and updating their privacy notices.
  • Client in negotiating a complicated build-to-suit lease agreement.

Katalin graduated from the Faculty of Law, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, in 1997. She was admitted to the bar in 1999. In 2001, she gained a postgraduate degree in economics at the Budapest University of Economics.
