Tom is a corporate/M&A partner, based in Amsterdam. He has a vast experience in corporate work, ranging from advising on capital markets transactions, private equity and venture capital transactions as well as public and private M&A transactions both national and international, complex reorganisations and coordinating due diligence team work.

Tom is also an expert in financial reporting and has a special focus on the industrials, TMT and life sciences sector. Tom studied civil and corporate law at the Groningen University and was admitted to the Netherlands Bar in 1990.
He is also regularly active as lecturer in company law and financial reporting, including the ESAA post-educational program for supervisory directors of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

  • Adviser to founder and CEO Andrea Ruosi in its sale to To-Increase B.V.   • Adviser to Delta Airlines in its warrant rights investment MainBlades, which is active in the development and commercialisation of innovative aircraft inspections.

  1. Coredux (all-in-one original design manufacturer (ODM) and system integrator for gas and liquid transportation)
  2. Lifetec Group (a leading global pre-clinical contract research organization (CRO) focused on the investigation and demonstration of medical device innovations as well as procedural skills training using biosimulation systems)
  3. Medical Production Technology Europe (developing off-the-shelf solutions for balloon catheter manufacturing and stent crimping equipment and processes).
  • Adviser to GXO/Clipper (world leader in providing cutting-edge logistics solutions) in its acquisition of Service Control InHome B.V. and Fulfilcenter B.V., active in the repair work of electrical household appliances and consumer electronics.
  • Adviser to Finnfund (Finnish state-owned development financier and impact investor in developing countries) and FMO (Dutch Entrepeneurial Development Bank) in their equity investment (alongside majority shareholder Veris Aquaculture) in FirstWave Group which is active in the business of breeding, producing, processing and selling fish and aquaculture feed, particularly in Africa (Zambia, Kenya).
  • Adviser to assisted Vlinder (Annemarie Rakhorst, investor and sustainability expert) in its follow-up investment into Felyx, which operates a business in shared e-mopeds for urban exploration, alongside co-investor De Hoge Dennen Capital and certain founders and other private investors.
