Luisa Zukowski

Principal Associate

Luisa helps international businesses manage dispute risk and resolve complex, cross-border disputes through arbitration and litigation.

A member of our International Arbitration and Litigation and Dispute Management groups, Luisa is a Principal Associate who, before joining the firm in 2016, worked at international firms in London and Dubai helping multi-jurisdictional businesses resolve cross-border disputes.

Luisa is a truly international lawyer experienced in advising and supporting high-profile companies based in the UK and abroad, including in various jurisdictions in Europe, the Middle East and Hong Kong, in high-value and complex international arbitration and precedent-setting High Court litigation. Luisa works for businesses across multiple sectors with particularly strong experience in the Energy, Diversified Industrials and Retail sectors.

Luisa recognises that formal legal proceedings, however, are usually the last resort for companies. As such, to help your business avoid proceedings, Luisa can advise you how to manage general dispute risk through your contractual terms and when terminating contracts, and in relation to alternative dispute resolution including mediation. Given Luisa’s in-depth understanding of both arbitration and litigation, Luisa can also help your business decide on the best method of dispute resolution to include in its contracts taking into account, for example, your location and that of your counterparty, the value of your contracts and other factors important to your business such as confidentiality.

In addition to your general commercial dispute-risk, with regulators and consumers increasingly focused on Environmental, Social and Governance issues, Luisa can help your business to manage its ESG-related risk, including in relation to greenwashing claims and climate change litigation.

In her spare time, Luisa enjoys traveling, reading and skiing. She is a mentor to more junior lawyers and is passionate about diversity and inclusion.

Luisa’s recent experience includes:
