Eversheds Sutherland advised Italian state-owned airline on its leasing arrangements for four Airbus A350-900s with ALAFCO DAC

Eversheds Sutherland assisted ITA Airways, the Italian state-owned airline, in negotiating and finalising the leasing arrangements for four Airbus A350-900s worth $1.27bn.
The team was led by Partner Umberto Mauro, Head of the Banking & Finance department in Italy, and Sindhura Swaminathan, Head of the Banking & Finance department in Paris.
The arrangement between ITA Airways and ALAFCO DAC, the Irish subsidiary of the Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO), an aircraft rental company based in Kuwait, also represents a significant development in ITA Airways’ strategy, which focuses on building a new environmentally-friendly fleet.
The team was led by Partner Umberto Mauro, Head of the Banking & Finance department in Italy, and Sindhura Swaminathan, Head of the Banking & Finance department in Paris.
Sindhura Swaminathan commented:
