Algeria: Towards the constitutionalisation of economic freedoms

The draft Constitution review was presented to the press on 5 January 2016 and was approved by the Council of Ministers on 11 January 201. At the present time, the draft is being fine-tuned by the Constitutional Council pending a reasoned opinion and should be adopted by Parliament at the beginning of this year.

Act No. 78-12 amending and supplementing Act No. 17-95 regarding public limited companies was promulgated by Dahir No. 1-15-106 of 29 August 2015 (in Arabic only at this time).

Ivory Coast - Steps towards lease regulations in the Ivory Coast

On 9 December 2015, the Council of Ministers in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire adopted a draft act regulating leases in the Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast: Faciliating SME's access to Public contracts

Decree No. 2015-525 was promulgated on 15 July 2015 and amended Decree No. 2009-259 of 6 August 2009 regarding the Public Contracts Code, as amended by Decree No. 2014-306 of 27 May 2014.

Tunisia | Global employment update

An increase of 6% has been agreed for private sector pay, following a negotiation between the UGTT and UTICA. This agreement provides for an increase of 6% on basic salary, plus an increase in the transport allowance by 10 dinars per month.
