UAE: Abu Dhabi launches 350 MW solar tender

Abu Dhabi is launching a 350 MW tender for a developer to build, operate and co-own a 40% stake in a solar park located in the Sweihan region, east of the capital.
The remaining 60% stake will be owned by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) who will buy the plant’s output under a long term contract.
The winning bidder/consortium will be responsible for the development, financing, construction and operation of the Sweihan solar park.
The closing date to express interest in ADWEA’s 12th IPP tender is the 13 January 2016. ADWEA is aiming to select a bidder by mid-2016.
