Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has issued a request for concept for the construction of a 100MW IPP solar power project at the Askar landfill site, located in the Southern Governate of Bahrain.

Those wishing to participate are required to purchase the Tender Documents online through the Bahrain Tender Board here. Proposals are due on 11 April 2018, with the opening of bids on the following day (12 April).

This comes following an announcement in September 2017 by the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP), that Bahrain aims to bring 255MW of PV capacity online by 2025.
