Japanese Renewables: Announcement of Draft Report by ANRE Subcommittee on the Reform of Renewable Energy Regulations

Those interested in the Japanese renewables sector should monitor the progress of a draft report released by the Subcommittee for Reforming Systems Related to Introduction of Renewable Energy (the “Reform Subcommittee”) immediately prior to Christmas.
The Reform Subcommittee was established by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, and their report is the outcome of its review of the current Japanese renewables regulations. Amendments to current regulations are expected to be made on the basis of the report’s recommendations during the course of 2016 and 2017.
