Following close consultation with IFI's including the IFC, World Bank and EBRD, Tunisia has launched a review process to aid with the structuring and implementation of new PPP projects.
Eversheds Sutherland was privileged to have been specially invited by the Prime Minister and the PPP agency to this high profile event as we are advising the Tunisian Government on the first two large-scale pilot PPP projects in Tunisia (a desalination plant and a wastewater project).
At this high profile investor forum, the Tunisian Government announced a new pipeline of 33 large-scale, strategic PPP projects spanning a range of sectors including social infrastructure, energy and transport.
Eversheds Sutherland is the only international law firm with a large team and office in Tunisia. The office is led by Fares Koussay El Heni and Raouf El Heni, who, along with international Eversheds Sutherland partners, are jointly advising on a number of projects, transactions and disputes in Tunisia across the healthcare and wider energy & infrastructure sectors (including bidders for numerous projects in the renewable energy market).
If you wish to discuss opportunities in Tunisia further, please contact Karim Mahmud or Fares Koussay El Heni.
If you would like to receive the list of projects which were announced last week please contact Simona Horelicanova.
