UK: An REA survey on getting 'Back to Work' Safely
- United Kingdom
- Energy and infrastructure - Clean energy
03-06-2020
To address the COVID-19 pandemic the past 10 weeks have seen the UK Government introduce many measures, including financial support schemes for businesses. More recently, guidelines on how to get “Back to Work” safely have been published. These include maintaining social distancing, particular hygiene instructions and additional measures around use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work procedures. The REA has worked hard to ensure its members have access to all the latest information, listened to concerns and taken them directly to Government.
This new survey, which includes a series of questions that the REA have just received from the Cabinet Office seeking feedback around safe working, is an important tool to continue to help us express your concerns and issues, thus helping us influence and shape policy. It will enable the REA to keep current their understanding of how COVID-19 continues to affect REA Member businesses – financially & operationally. It will also help the REA to:
- Provide anonymised and timely feedback to the UK Government of the status of member organisations in the Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Sector - paying specific regard to the impact on members of the latest UK Government working safely guidelines and financial support schemes.
- Determine what further support the REA can provide to members.
This is an urgent survey and we are asking for it to be completed by lunchtime Friday 5th June, thus enabling the REA to meet the current feedback window to the Cabinet Office which is close of play 5th June. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.
