Corporate governance reform has been on the agenda recently, and UK companies will need to prepare for changes ahead of 1 January 2019. Below are links to two reports produced by Eversheds Sutherland which highlight the forthcoming changes in corporate governance for both traded and private companies in the UK to be aware of over the coming months, as well as summarising developments that are currently in the pipeline. The reports contain links to key resources that provide further information.
The areas covered by the reports include:
- a summary of the reporting requirements that will apply from 1 January 2019 as a result of the Companies (Miscellaneous Reporting) Regulations 2019;
- an update on the new UK Corporate Governance Code which will apply to listed companies;
- the Wates Corporate Governance Principles for private companies; and
- the recent Government response setting out further proposed changes in relation to corporate governance.
