In March 2021 the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published its white paper “Restoring trust in audit and corporate governance”.
The white paper covers a broad range of issues and runs to 230 pages. Given the volume of material, we have prepared a summary of the Government’s proposals that are directly relevant to companies and their directors. We have also highlighted how the proposals link to the independent review recommendations that informed them.
