UK Covid-19 Inquiry Module 2 Preliminary Hearing

The Covid-19 Inquiry (“the Inquiry”) held the first preliminary hearings for Module 2 on 31 October, 1 and 2 November 2022. Module 2 is tasked with examining the UK’s core political and administrative decision-making in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. This will then be followed by hearings for Modules 2A, 2B and 2C, focussing separately on Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland respectively. The period under consideration is between January 2020 and February 2022, when the remaining Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. A brief update in respect of Module 2 was also provided.
