Following the public consultation on the draft UCR 2016 and CCR 2016, the new regulations have now been laid before Parliament and will come into force on 18 April 2016 (subject to a number of exceptions in the UCR 2016 which will come into force at later dates). The UCR 2016 can be found here and the CCR 2016 can be found here.
Additionally, the Public Procurement (Amendments, Repeals and Revocations) Regulations 2016 will also come into force on 18 April 2016 and will amend the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the “PCR 2015”) as well as a number of other statutory instruments.
We will issue further briefings on the UCR 2016, CCR 2016 and the updates to the PCR 2015 in due course.
