    What is the ‘Doing Business in China’ Guide?

    ‘Doing Business in China’ is a new guide which has been developed by the China-Britain Business Council, the International Market Advisor, UK Trade & Investment and the British Embassy in Beijing. The guide covers exactly what the title suggests – it is an easy to read and simple to access guide about doing business in China!

    The Formats and where to find the guide

    The guide comes in three different formats (each including the same information):

    • A fully interactive website
    • A glossy brochure – which is available as a PDF, and copies can also be ordered by clicking here and sending a short email request
    • A free downloadable mobile phone app available by clicking here

    The various formats allow readers to select the most convenient way in which to access the information available in different formats depending on their preferences. 

    What does the guide cover?

    The guide is very user-friendly, giving a general introduction to China and providing useful information regarding researching and entering the Chinese market. It includes tips on how to ‘get started’ in China and includes examples of some of the common pitfalls to avoid, and also, how other organisations have overcome them.

    The guide profiles 20 individual cities detailing trade and investment figures in those areas and potential opportunities for businesses looking at working in China to consider. With a useful directory of contacts, links to various helpful websites and dates and details of up and coming seminars and events, the guide is a useful resource for organisations looking to China as a place to develop their business operations, or for anyone interested in understanding more about the topic.

    Up to 10,000 copies of the hard copy brochure will be produced and distributed to exporters, investors and business travellers.
