We have been named as one of the fastest growing law firms in the UAE by Asian Legal Business' The Brief magazine, a Thomson Reuters publication in the Middle East.

The inaugural 2012 'UAE Fast 7' recognises law firms that have managed to rise above the market difficulties in the Middle East and continued to expand their practices over the last year. The rankings commend both international and local firms that have demonstrated both revenue growth and a commitment to investing in people.

In a game-changing move which was a genuine first in the region, international law firm Eversheds joined forces in 2011 with KSLG, a consortium of law firms with offices across the Middle East. This groundbreaking move that saw the firm treble in size in the region. The strategic merger created one of the largest law firm in the Middle East in terms of geographic coverage. The team of lawyers in the Middle East is both local and international, providing a 360º service that is unparalleled in the region.

The merger deepened our international footprint, gave us valuable local expertise and contacts and demonstrated our commitment to this strategically vital region. We now have a strong platform for future growth across the Middle East. Since the merger, we have continued to invest in high calibre legal professionals, with several new hires in the UAE and more in the pipeline.

To our knowledge, this deal remains an absolute first in the region; the first multi-office, multi-firm, multi-country merger.

NasserNasser Ali Khasawneh, managing partner of Eversheds' UAE practice says:

"The key to our growth story is this marriage of equals in which Eversheds, an international firm that was growing at a fast pace throughout the rest of the world, combined with a successful multijurisdictional practice in the region. No other firm had really cracked this formula before, and the story of us coming together so successfully generated more work. It is a honour to be recognised for all the hard work that has gone in to this successful partnership, and for the ongoing work being done to further develop our capabilities in the UAE."
