Michelle T. Davies, Head of Clean Energy & Sustainability and partner at global law firm Eversheds, has been appointed to the board of the Emirates Solar Industry Association (ESIA), being the first woman to serve as a board member.
ESIA is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes solar power in the UAE and the Middle East, assisting policy-makers on solar regulations, advising new market entrants on setting up locally, and creating business opportunities for its members. Michelle has been appointed to the board as Membership Director.
Michelle said:
“I am looking forward to working with companies at all levels of the solar energy supply chain in the UAE and the Middle East. I think it’s important to improve cohesion in the industry in order to drive forward growth in the market.”
Vahid Fotuhi, President of ESIA, said:
“Michelle is a welcomed addition to our board. Her reputation precedes her as a leader in clean energy and her expertise will be invaluable.”
