Legal solutions for your logistics outsourcing projects

Logistics has an increasingly important role to play in helping businesses manage and control their local and international supply chains, and to reduce costs in difficult economic times.

Every business needs to get its goods and services to market as efficiently as possible Outsourcing all or part of the logistics function is often a key component in any delivery model. However, delivery models are increasingly complex and innovative.

Commercially focused and pragmatic – our lawyers have a ‘can do’ mentality which is focused on dealing with what matters to your business. It is about turning the right stones over, not every stone over.

What we do for our clients

At Eversheds Sutherland we closely follow these developments and the opportunities they offer our clients to become more efficient and successful. We understand that the ‘one size fits all’ approach to outsourcing no longer works and have developed a team of lawyer that can offer a bespoke approach to every deal and every client.

Our approach is always to focus on the key commercial drivers behind any outsourcing transaction and managing risk appropriately, concentrating on areas such as service delivery, pricing and ensuring flexibility is embedded into the relationship. In addition, we provide advice on the impact of legislation and regulations on outsourcings.

It has been a pleasure to work with Eversheds Sutherland and I think your commitment and high quality efforts throughout the process have impressed everyone associated with the transaction.

Innovation in our sector

Project management – for large scale outsourcing projects we understand careful and appropriate allocation of resource is important, which is why we closely project manage our advice. This means that costs are within pre-agreed parameters, transparent and remain under your control.

Support across the deal life cycle – through Project Prep, contract review papers, our ‘living the contract’ training and wide range of lawyers, we support the transaction throughout its life, helping clients to maximise the value of their contracts.

Project Prep – training designed for the people responsible for buying IT systems or outsourcing services (also useful for lawyers not familiar with this area).

Living the Contract – an innovative training programme to assist you in getting your project delivered on time and budget.

Legal Risk Paper – We can prepare a risk paper for your Board to review, as part of its risk assessment and approval process.
