Global energy lawyers
We offer you clarity. Whether you’re operating in wind, solar, nuclear, hydrogen, oil and gas or biofuels, we’ll use our decades of experience of working on some of the sector’s biggest energy transition projects to bring you guidance that is tailored to your needs and easy to understand.
Energy transition is our priority
It’s not just what we do that sees clients return to us again and again. It’s the way we do it. Reflecting the firm’s ESG values, we provide commercially-focused advice that is sensitive to both your business ambitions and your environmental, social and governance needs. We also like to create long-term partnerships, serving as an extension of your in-house team.
Globally recognized energy lawyers
This approach has seen us become one of the most prominent global Energy legal teams. From Chambers and Partners to Legal 500 and Acritas, we’re highly regarded by clients and independent guides alike and look forward to sharing our experience with you.
Experienced global energy lawyers
Our global energy lawyers can help you with all aspects of clean energy law. Representative experience includes advising:
- on the use of our market leading PPA and carbon offset templates in the UK and Europe – they have been attractive to many corporate clients, as they give the flexibility to expand to different jurisdictions without having to re-start and re-learn the contracts
- an international energy company in relation to its strategy to simultaneously develop multiple offshore wind farms in the UK
- a FTSE 250 renewable energy investment company on the 100MW acquisition of solar PV projects
- global energy storage fund on its new £180m debt facility with a syndicate of major international financial institutions. As a corporate facility funding merchant energy storage projects in the UK, this was the first transaction of its kind for the battery storage market
- on large-scale developments of ground mounted solar in the Netherlands by a joint venture between two developers. This includes corporate structuring, project finance advice, securities, direct agreements, EPC, O&M, MSA, PPA, grid connection, SDE+ etc.
