  • We are one of the largest full service global real estate outfits – with numerous lawyers experienced in banking, real estate, planning, construction, rights of light, funds, real estate tax and structuring. Unlike many of our competitors, our lawyers are real estate finance specialists as opposed to more general practitioners (e.g. dual-qualified solicitors and town planners). We believe that having these experts is essential to delivering the most complex real estate finance deals, particularly development financings and transactions with bespoke funds or tax structuring.
  • Our expertise on complex capital structures – we have extensive experience advising on senior/mezzanine and A/B deals across all sectors, including development finance where we have acted on intercreditor structures with forward funders.
  • Our sector knowledge – in addition to the usual investment, acquisition and development financings, we have experience in a diverse variety of real estate sectors, for example, the build to rent (PRS) and student accommodation markets. Given the size and breadth of our real estate team, we also have key strengths in the office, retail (including shopping centres), industrial, logistics, data centers, hotels, leisure (e.g. golf courses), healthcare and residential (build for sale/PRS) sectors. We find that this deep sector knowledge benefits our lender clients on the due diligence and structuring aspects of transactions.
