Suspension of the workplace election procedure by the coronavirus in Belgium.

The Corona crisis has severely disrupted the normal functioning of many companies. Due to the substantial physical absence of employees in the workplace, the proper organisation of workplace elections and the continuation of the current procedure becomes impossible. In those circumstances, the social partners in Belgium have reached an informal consensus on the collective suspension of the workplace election procedure. They will consider the practical details and legal implications in the coming days.
