Eversheds Sutherland (International) announces leadership appointments

    Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT)

    From 1 February, Nasser Ali Khasawneh will assume leadership of the TMT sector succeeding Charlotte Walker-Osborn. Charlotte will retain a key role in the sector as Head of Technology Sub-Sector, working closely with Nasser and the wider team.

    Middle East

    Tawfiq Tabbaa is now Regional Managing Partner for the Middle East.  Tawfiq will also continue to lead Eversheds Sutherland’s practice in Iraq and develop the Iran offering in the Middle East. Tawfiq succeeds Nasser who, in addition to his role as TMT Sector Head and Senior Office Partner for the UAE, is now Chairman of the Middle East.

    Commercial

    After more than ten years, Bridgette Wilcox has decided to step down as Head of Commercial.  Simon Crossley will succeed Bridgette from 1 May, as well as continuing in the role of Global Co-Head of IP.

    Africa Group

    The leadership of the Africa Group has been further strengthened with the appointment of John Kemkers as Co-Head. John will join Boris Martor, who has led the Africa practice for ten years, in managing Eversheds Sutherland’s relationship with firms in the Eversheds Africa Law Institute (EALI).

    John will take responsibility for managing Eversheds Sutherland’s relationships in Anglophone Africa, with Boris remaining responsible for managing Eversheds Sutherland’s relationships with EALI firms in Francophone and Lusophone Africa.

    Boris will also remain in his role as Chair of EALI as well as continuing to develop Eversheds Sutherland’s Paris projects team with a particular focus on Africa.
