Procurement blog now in English

  • Poland

At the beginning of June 2012, Wierzbowski Eversheds launched the English-language version of, the law firm’s online service devoted to public procurement issues from an EU perspective.

The authors of the blog are lawyers from the firm’s Public Procurement team: Tomasz Zalewski, Michał Drozdowicz, Aleksandra Kunkiel-Kryńska, Witold Sławiński and Piotr Kunicki.

"We know from practice what a huge influence EU law has on public procurement law in Poland,” said Wierzbowski Eversheds partner Tomasz Zalewski, the originator of the concept for the site. “Our idea for the blog was that it should be a forum for discussion and an exchange of views on all issues arising under EU law that are relevant to public procurement, including the way in which the law is developed and applied. The Polish version of the site was well-received and has quickly attracted a group of regular readers. Our readers suggested that some of the issues raised on the site would definitely be of interest to a broader audience. Hence our decision to create an English version of the site, where an even larger group of readers can become involved in the discussion.”

The Polish version of the site has been in operation for over a year and has been visited by over 4,000 people.
