Eversheds Sutherland runs for the Austrian Children's Cancer Aid

  • Austria

On Thursday, 17 December 2020, Georg Röhsner, Managing Partner of Eversheds Sutherland in Austria, handed over a donation cheque in the amount of 2,000 euros to the Managing Director of Österreichische Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe, Philipp Dirnberger.  "We are very pleased that the law firm Eversheds Sutherland, which has already been assisting us pro bono in all legal matters since 2018, is supporting us with this nice campaign," says Philipp Dirnberger.

With the "Step up to the plate 10 k challenge", the international law group Eversheds Sutherland organised a special charity campaign this year. All employees of the 68 international offices were invited to support this charity from 3 to 11 December by each running 10 km and donating to a local charity.

"In Austria, we decided to dedicate this campaign to the Children's Cancer Aid, for which we have been socially engaged for several years. This time our team, which I thank very much, ran a total of almost 200 km for the good cause. Especially in difficult times, it is a special concern for us to help children and young people with cancer who are dependent on the support of others," explains Georg Röhsner.

About the Austrian Children's Cancer Aid

The Austrian Children's Cancer Aid (ÖKKH) was founded in 1988 as an association of six regional associations (Vienna/Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Carinthia, Tyrol/Vorarlberg). The mission of the association, which represents the interests of children and adolescents with cancer and their families, is to raise awareness and provide comprehensive psychosocial aftercare for former patients who have to live with the long-term consequences of their illness and treatment.
