    We represented the bankruptcy estate of Talvivaara Sotkamo Ltd. On 18 February 2022, the District Court handed down altogether nine judgments in the case. One of the claims was dismissed as statute-barred and others on the grounds that there was no proven causal connection between the mines’ unauthorised emissions and the damage claimed to have been caused by them by the landowner or fisherman. The District Court ordered the plaintiffs to pay some of the defendants’ legal expenses.
