As part of its global international development strategy, notably in Europe, the American company Trammell Crow Company (TCC), a leading global developer and investor in commercial real estate, has just completed its first acquisition in France, in the Bourgogne region.

The deal was signed with the Communauté d’Agglomération de l’Auxerrois, purchasing AuxR Parc in Appoigny. A Grade A logistics asset will be developed on the 11-hectare site, it will be made up of three buildings to accommodate semi-industrial or distribution logistics activities. The buildings will be developed in line with BREEAM Very Good or Excellent certification.

With this first operation in France, TCC now has three sites in the UK, two in Germany, four in Spain, and one in the Czech Republic and now one in France. Its teams operate out of offices in Paris, Prague, London, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Vienna, Barcelona and Madrid. Despite global economic headwinds, the group continues to build on progress to date and indicates having a pipeline of sites and projects in the works for 2023.

Eversheds Sutherland has advised TCC with a team led by Patrick Gerry (Partner), Constance Guillaume (Senior Associate) and Matthieu Augagneur (Associate) on real estate law, as well as Philippe de Guyenro (Partner) and Ferielle Habili (Counsel) on the tax aspects of the transaction.

“This marks an exciting first step into the French market for Trammell Crow Company and we are very grateful to Patrick Gerry and his team for providing very clear and efficient advice to make this transaction possible.”

Sean Gray, General Counsel Europe, TCC Commercial
