Eversheds Sutherland advises on sale of Aéro Solutions to Massenberg Group

    Eversheds Sutherland has advised AIC GmbH on the sale of the French Aéro Solutions SAS, a specialist in cooling tower maintenance and advice, to Massenberg Group based in Essen, Germany.

    The parties have agreed to keep the details of the transaction confidential.

    The acquisition of Aéro Solutions has  enabled the building maintenance specialist, Massenberg Group - a portfolio company of DPE Deutsche Private Equity – to extend its service portfolio into maintenance of natural-draught and cell cooling towers, while also driving its international growth by operating in the markets of France, Benelux and Eastern Europe.

    The growth investor DPE Deutsche Private Equity, which focuses on medium-sized companies, acquired a stake in the building renovation company in June 2019.

    With a German-French team led by M&A Partner Dr. Werner Brickwedde (Dusseldorf), Eversheds Sutherland advised AIC on all aspects of the transaction including foreign trade law. The team consisted of Dr. Simon Weppner (Partner, tax) and Christian Wensing (Associate, both Dusseldorf) as well as Franck Bourgeois (Partner) and Charles Bresson (Associate, both Paris, all Corporate/M&A).
