Eversheds Sutherland advises DNV on its acquisition of Germany-based notified body Medcert

    Eversheds Sutherland has advised global certification, assurance and risk management provider DNV on its acquisition of acquisition of Germany-based notified body Medcert. The transaction will further strengthen DNV’s already strong position in the medical devices industry offering an enhanced assurance portfolio to medical device manufacturers across the world, and will bring an additional hub in Germany.

    Headquartered in Hamburg, Medcert is one of the largest notified bodies in Germany and is among the leading notified bodies under the EU regulations for medical devices. Since 1994, it has specialized in the auditing, certification and conformity assessment of quality management systems and medical devices, with operations spanning Europe, North America and Asia.

    DNV is a leading global certification, assurance and risk management provider, operating in more than 100 countries. Through assessment and digital assurance solutions, DNV helps companies build trust and transparency around products, assets, supply chains and ecosystems.
