International Comparative Legal Guide to: Cybersecurity 2021

    For the fourth time in a row, Eversheds Sutherland has published the German chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide to: Cybersecurity 2021. This guide provides local insights into cybersecurity regulations in 26 jurisdictions worldwide and addresses the most important issues practitioners face on the intersection of technology and law. The areas of law cover cybercrime, corporate governance, litigation, insurance and investigatory and police powers. The author team consisted of Alexander Niethammer, David Rieks, Constantin Herfurth und Stefan Saerbeck.

    In the fields of data protection and cybersecurity, the German team in particular provides advice on datasecurity, the reform of the European data protection law, the transfer of data abroad, data protection management as well as with regard to employee data protection and digitalisation issues such as Big Data, artificial intelligence and the internet of things. The team, which is part of the global Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Group of Eversheds Sutherland, furthermore advises on data protection management and provides support with regard to crisis management in case of data breaches and cyberattacks.
