WirtschaftsWoche again names Eversheds Sutherland as top legal practice for restructuring and insolvency law – Dr. Christian Hilpert and Dr. Anne Deike Riewe among top lawyers

    The German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche has once again recognised Eversheds Sutherland as a top legal practice for restructuring and insolvency law. In addition, Dr. Christian Hilpert has repeatedly been recommended as one of the most renowned restructuring lawyers and Dr. Anne Deike Riewe has repeatedly been recognised as one of the most renowned insolvency lawyers in Germany.

    Dr. Christian Hilpert (Berlin/Munich) is a Partner and head of the German Restructuring & Insolvency practice group. He represents investors, creditors and companies in times of turmoil as well as insolvency administrators, in particular also regarding the sale and purchase of assets from an insolvency estate. He particularly focusses on cross-border matters.

    Dr. Anne Deike Riewe (Munich) is a Counsel in the Munich office and specialises in contract drafting for companies facing crisis or insolvency as well as interface topics regarding corporate and tax law. She has special expertise in the prosecution of claims for insolvency administrators as well as in the defence and prevention of liability claims vis-à-vis managing directors and in the contesting of insolvency.

    The Restructuring & Insolvency practice group advises with respect to cross-border crisis situations and specialises in complex restructuring solutions, preventive and out of a crisis, both in and out of court. The team advises both (groups of) creditors and investors as well as insolvency administrators, debtor companies and their executive bodies on corporate restructurings, distressed transactions and in connection with insolvency proceedings.

    For the ranking of the most renowned lawyers, Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) interviewed more than 1,100 lawyers from over 125 law firms about their most renowned colleagues for restructurings and insolvency law. From this list, a jury of experts then selected 43 law firms with 53 particularly recommended lawyers for restructuring and 39 law firms with 61 particularly recommended lawyers for insolvency law.
