We are very proud of our trainees Tom Murray and Gráinne Hussey who competed as members of the Law Society of Ireland team at the fifth edition of the Lex Infinitum International Dispute Resolution Competition in Goa, India earlier this month. Gráinne was part of a two-person negotiator team that came in third place overall and won a special award for "Upcoming Negotiation Team".

Lex Infinitum is an international mediation and negotiation competition where 24 teams were ultimately selected to compete from a total of 40 applicants. The goal of the competition is to provide participants with an opportunity to showcase their ADR skills and techniques through the medium of mediation.

The Law society team dealt with a range of issues during the competition including commercial agreements, IP licencing issues, employment disputes and one problem question even involved the potential acquisition of the country Greenland by the USA. In addition, throughout the competition, dispute resolution experts provided seminars on various ADR related topics and shared their views and personal experience during 'knowledge sessions'.
