Professional Board Member Education Program

Māris Vainovskis, Eversheds Bitāns Senior gave a lecture on Governance of risk and board disputes in a prominent board member education programme for shareholders, members of boards and top management in the Baltics.
The Education is organised by the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance takes place in all three Baltic states.
Other notable speakers in Riga session include Lasse Bolander, a senior executive of a number of Denmark's largest companies, Martin Gauss, Chairman of the Board and CEO, AirBaltic, Rytis Ambrazevičius, independent board member at Klaipėdos nafta and Vice President of the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance, Eva Berlaus, Managing Partner, Sorainen Latvia, Giedrius Čiurinskas, Managing Partner and CEO, Colemont.
Topics of the programme are based on the principles and recommendations on Corporate Governance by the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group (IFC) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Since its start in 2009, the programme has about 400 high level graduates in the Baltic region.
Education programme is constructed to give executives and non-executives additional knowledge on how to direct their company, and to enhance their value as a non-executive independent board member of companies in Baltics and beyond.
