Eversheds Sutherland advises ALEC Engineering and Contracting on its acquisition of Target Engineering

    Eversheds Sutherland has advised ALEC Engineering and Contracting in its strategic acquisition of Target Engineering.

    ALEC Engineering and Contracting, part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) group, is a large construction company with related businesses operating in the GCC, along with a presence in Africa.

    Target Engineering, a leading EPC contractor offering in-house services for major construction disciplines in onshore and offshore areas in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, was established in 1975 and operates through its four specialized division – mechanical oil and gas, electrical, civil (industrial and buildings) and marine.

    The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by partner and regional head of M&A, Zeid Hanania, assisted by principal associates, Steve Jennings and Noor Al Heialy, with further support from associate, Ryan Todd. Partner, Clint Dempsey and associate, Pronnoy Sengupta, assisted on finance aspects.
