Advising Legal & General on the launch of Guild Living

     Bold new plans for urban retirement living and the acquisition of two new sites

    Eversheds Sutherland has advised Legal & General Capital on the launch of Guild Living and on the acquisition of Guild Living’s first two sites.

    A cross-practice team from Eversheds Sutherland advised Guild Living, on behalf of Legal & General Capital, on its recent launch. Guild Living will specialise in the development and operation of urban later living communities, with plans to build over 3,000 homes over the next five years, equating to a Gross Development Value of around £2bn. The team also advised Guild Living on the acquisition of a former retail site in Bath, Somerset, and a former NHS site at Epsom, Surrey. Both developments are expected to become operational in 2022, subject to planning approval.
