Daniel Freiman appointed as partner in the firm’s real estate practice

Eversheds Sutherland shows its ambition for growth in the real estate sector with the appointment of Heathrow’s Director of Planning and Head of Legal, Daniel Freiman, to Partner in its Real Estate and Planning Group. Daniel joins the firm today/5 September 2022.

Daniel is experienced in all aspects of planning law and holds extensive experience in the consenting of major infrastructure projects, having focused on this since qualifying in 2003. Throughout his career, his practice has focused predominantly on the water and aviation sectors, spanning both in-house and private practice at top tier law firms in both the UK and Australia.

Having acted on two of the most high profile and high value projects in the water and aviation sectors in recent years, Daniel is well placed to advise the firm’s clients on contentious planning and environmental matters and the delivery of legal services for nationally significant infrastructure projects. Along with his experience in the aviation and water sectors, Daniel will also be bolstering the firm’s offering in the energy, planning and logistics sectors.

Paul Maile, Partner, Eversheds Sutherland, commented:

“I am delighted to welcome Daniel to our team. His track record on major infrastructure projects, particularly in the aviation and water sectors, aligns well with our already strong credentials in these areas. Daniel’s experience of leading the delivery of legal services in areas of policy, strategy, consenting, property and litigation for big ticket and high profile projects will allow us to not only grow new relationships in target sectors, but also further our established client relationships in other sectors.”

Daniel Freiman, Partner, Eversheds Sutherland, commented:

“Eversheds Sutherland has a stellar reputation in planning and real estate and the breadth of the firm’s activity advising on major infrastructure projects was a strong draw for me. I am excited to be joining Paul and the wider team and to help continue providing clients with a first-rate offering and develop new relationships.”
