Eversheds Sutherland appoints a new Head of Litigation Technology
Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Melina Efstathiou as Head of Litigation Technology to help lead the Litigation Group’s legal project management and technology team, Propel, which launched in May 2019.
Melina brings with her over 10 years’ experience in the legal technology sector. Her remit includes building on the firm’s existing suite of technology solutions for disputes and investigations work. As a recognised expert in legal technology and an experienced eDiscovery practitioner, she will further strengthen the currently ten-strong Propel team.
Melina most recently worked at Relativity where she was Senior Customer Success Manager with responsibility for client on-boarding, integration and successful adoption of Relativity’s technology in traditional and alternative use cases.
Melina is a qualified lawyer, and before moving into legal technology spent eight years practising law, specialising in financial crime and complex fraud investigations.
Paul Worth, Co-Head of Global Litigation, said:
“Melina’s significant experience, working with different legal and litigation technologies, will make her a valuable addition to the team. She joins Propel at an exciting stage of its development, and will ensure we are able to meet existing and future client demand, across our global network, for all aspects of litigation technology.
“Our combined legal project management and litigation technology team, Propel, is forging a market-leading reputation. We are fast becoming known for litigators who understand technology supported by technologists who understand litigation, we are creating a virtuous circle for the benefit of our clients. Melina is a natural fit in that sense, having spent ten years working across complex disputes and investigations, before moving into legal technology-based roles in 2012.”
Melina also commented:
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Eversheds Sutherland’s growing Propel team of legal project managers and eDiscovery specialists. The firm’s vision towards technology is unprecedented and I look forward to developing the practice’s suite of technology solutions even further. By offering our lawyers and our clients a comprehensive Litigation Technology Toolkit we can drive efficiency, save costs and optimise outcomes.”
