Additional success for Associate Chris Perks

Eversheds Sutherland has been recognised as a Global Sourcing Association (GSA) UK Top Performer 2018 at the GSA UK Annual Dinner and Professional Awards. The ceremony brings together the most highly regarded sourcing individuals and teams responsible for driving notable industry change.

In addition to the global legal practice being recognised in ‘The Support Community Greats – Legal Advisors’ category, Associate Chris Perks is celebrating individual success after being named as Rising Star of The Year. Senior Associate Ed Tompkin was also shortlisted for Legal Advisor of the Year.

The GSA UK Awards, now in its fourteenth year, celebrates the strategic sourcing elite who have helped shape the current and future state of the global sourcing industry (outsourcing, insourcing, global business services, shared services and automation).

The Rising Star of The Year Award recognised Chris’s contribution to deliver expert advice to clients, incorporating best practice and commitment to the development of collaborative relationships.

Eversheds Sutherland’s success this year follows on from the recognition of Partner Charlotte Walker-Osborn, who was named in 2017 as GSA’s Legal Advisor of the Year. Describing Charlotte as ‘technically capable, pragmatic, a technology expert and trusted legal advisor,’ Charlotte impressed the judges with ‘her numerous testimonials and loyal client list.’

Tom Bridgford, Partner and Head of Outsourcing commented:

“I am delighted that Eversheds Sutherland has been recognised as a top performer in the UK for our expertise in complex outsourcing and IT arrangements. This is truly a team effort and it is all the more pertinent for our people to be recognised at a time when the industry is facing unprecedented change due to constant advances made by technology and the challenges that brings. I am excited to continue the great work that we do for our FTSE 100 and notable public sector clients.”

Simon Gamlin, Partner and Head of Technology Group added:

“Congratulations to Chris who fought off tough competition and has been rightly recognised as Rising Star of the Year. Following on from Charlotte’s well-deserved win last year, it emphasises the continued depth and quality of our team’s offering and the fact that it is due in part to client feedback is the icing on the cake.”
