Joseph Hale joins to support on long term growth of practice
Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the hire of Joseph Hale, as a partner in its Litigation and Disputes practice. Joseph joins the firm from law firm Freeths, where he spent over seven years advising clients on their construction and engineering disputes.
As co-head of Freeths’ Leeds construction team, Joseph was responsible for the practice’s strategic growth, working with a broad range of clients including developers, local authorities, contractors and sub-contractors, with a particular focus on infrastructure and energy, including rail, water and highways.
Jonathan Douglas, Partner and Product Group Head of Construction Litigation, Eversheds Sutherland, commented:
“Joseph is a strong addition to our reputable and skilled bench of construction and engineering partners and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. His track record of developing effective client relationships and his deep understanding of clients’ needs, will support our clients through their highly complex and dynamic disputes. Our clients continue to be extremely busy against the backdrop of major rail expansion projects, the current levelling up agenda and the increasing focus on cleaner, energy efficient construction and the addition of Joseph allows us to further our established client relationships.”
Joseph Hale, Partner, Construction Litigation, Eversheds Sutherland, commented:
“I am excited to become a key part of Eversheds Sutherland’s highly regarded team. The practice undertakes great work and has a clear sense of direction, which fits well with my experience servicing clients in infrastructure and major construction. I look forward to working with Jonathan and the rest of the team over the coming years and to building on the strong foundation they have already established.”
Joseph has experience in adjudication, international and domestic arbitration, litigation and mediation whilst also being a qualified mediator. This includes ICC and LCIA arbitrations for UK and overseas clients and advising UK clients on overseas projects.
