New Partner Hannah Mahon also brings legal tech innovation
Eversheds Sutherland has enhanced its employment practice with the arrival of Partner Hannah Mahon from employment law boutique, GQ Littler.
With over a decade of experience, Hannah’s practice covers all aspects of employment law with a particular emphasis upon handling high value and strategically challenging contentious work in the Employment Tribunals and High Court.
Hannah’s clients include investment banks, private equity firms, brokers and tech companies and her arrival brings even greater strength and depth to Eversheds Sutherland’s established employment practice in the City.
She was the first lawyer to join GQ Littler in 2011, progressing through the ranks to Partner in 2019. At GQ Littler Hannah made an immense contribution to the growth of the firm from three to over 30 lawyers, also establishing and overseeing its legal technology practice during her time at the firm.
Following GQ’s tie-up with US firm Littler Mendelson in 2017, Hannah co-ordinated large-scale international projects with the Littler team, including acting on a number of senior executive exits for multinational clients.
Paul Fontes, a Partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s employment litigation group, said:
“Welcoming Hannah to the firm is a further milestone in the continued growth of our employment team in the City. Hannah is a very talented employment lawyer whose experience perfectly complements our existing strengths in handling heavyweight litigation, managing multinational projects and advising on other commercially sensitive matters. Her commitment to legal technology will also assist us in delivering innovative and effective solutions for clients. I am very much looking forward to working with her.”
Hannah Mahon, Partner, Eversheds Sutherland, said:
“I am delighted to be joining Eversheds Sutherland’s employment team. The quality of the team’s work and client base, the ability to be able to provide a truly global service to clients and the firm’s commitment to legal technology and innovation were all key factors in my decision to join the firm.”
Hannah’s accolades include winning Legal Week's Future of Legal Services Innovation Award 2020. In 2022, industry directory Chambers and Partners described Hannah as “…really on the ball and [is] all over the detail. She gives pragmatic advice and has a razor-sharp commercial mind."
