Charlotte Walker-Osborn, head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Tech Media & Telecoms (TMT) Sector, has been named ‘Legal Advisor of the Year’ at the Global Sourcing Association (GSA) UK’s Professional Awards.
Now in its fifth year, the GSA UK’s Professional Awards recognise the talent and application of best practice across the sourcing industry (outsourcing, insourcing, global business services, shared services and automation).
When presenting the award, the judges stated that Charlotte’s win was in recognition of ‘her approach to best practice and her vision that most modern sourcing will involve technology, changing the face of sourcing’.
Describing her as ‘technically capable, pragmatic, a technology expert and trusted legal advisor’, Charlotte impressed the judges with ‘her numerous testimonials and loyal client list [which] showed a consistent record of excellent work…’.
Charlotte, who acts for 11 of the FTSE 100, joined the firm as an IT, Telecoms & Privacy lawyer in 2001. She became an IT, Telecoms & Outsourcing partner in 2008, establishing the firm’s TMT sector in the same year.
Charlotte’s key clients include Ricoh, Honda, ARM, Centrica, AstraZeneca and CRH. She also acts for a number of startups/scaleups, including driverless startup/scaleup Conigital.
Charlotte Walker-Osborn, partner and Head of Eversheds Sutherland’s UK TMT Sector, comments:
"I’m delighted to receive this award in recognition of not just my personal efforts for my clients, who I love working with, but also my team’s. Hearing that the award was, in large part, due to client feedback is personally very satisfying.”
